Mackie Thrash15v2 – 1300 W Powered PA Loudspeaker with DSP and Bluetooth

The Mackie Thrash15v2 is a 15-inch active loudspeaker for bands, solo performers and mobile DJs who want a PA that works without a sound engineer behind it. It keeps the 1300 W amplifier and the plain, rugged cabinet the Thrash line is known for, and adds the DSP that used to start higher up the Mackie range: four voicing modes, a one-button Feedback Eliminator and Bluetooth streaming with wireless speaker linking — available at Soundium.

Key Features

  • 1300 W amplifier: 129 dB maximum SPL with an overload limiter and status LED, enough for rehearsal rooms, bars and small outdoor sets.
  • 15″ woofer + 1″ tweeter: 48 Hz to 16 kHz, voiced so vocals and instruments cut through a loud room.
  • Four voicing modes: Flat, DJ, Live and Wedge, cycled with a single hardware button and read off four LEDs. No app, no menus.
  • Feedback Eliminator: One button that detects and suppresses microphone feedback, for tight stages where the mic has to work close to the cabinet.
  • Bluetooth streaming and linking: Press to pair a phone or laptop, hold to link a second cabinet in stereo or dual mono. The wired input stays live while a backing track streams.
  • XLR mix output: Passes both the wired input and the Bluetooth signal, so a chained cabinet gets the full mix.
  • Wedge cabinet and pole cup: Tip it on its side as a stage monitor, or mount it on a tripod or a pole above a subwoofer. Built-in handles and a protective grille.

Customer Benefits

Everything on the Thrash15v2 is a knob or a button on the back panel, so the sound is set at load-in and nothing needs updating before the doors open. At 16.5 kg it stays a two-trip load-in for one person, and the single combo input takes a microphone or a line source directly, which means a duo with a mic and a phone needs no mixer at all.

Use Cases / Ideal For

Rehearsal rooms, small live bands, solo singers with backing tracks, mobile DJs doing bars and private parties, schools and presentations, and anyone who needs a stage monitor and a front-of-house cabinet from the same box.

Compatibility

Sits on the Mackie SPM400 speaker pole above a Thump15Sv4 or Thump18Sv4 subwoofer, or on a T100 tripod stand. Accepts any microphone, line or instrument signal through the XLR/TRS combo input. Bluetooth streams from any phone, tablet or laptop, and two Thrashv2 cabinets link wirelessly to each other. Fitted speaker bags are available separately.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Voicing modes and Feedback Eliminator at the entry price point
  • Everything set from the rear panel, with no app in the chain
  • Bluetooth link between two cabinets for stereo without a cable run
  • Deeper low end than the 12″ model at 48 Hz, in a 16.5 kg cabinet

⚠️ Cons:

  • One input only, so two live sources need an external mixer
  • No fly points, so it cannot be rigged from a truss
  • No app control and no aux jack, unlike the Thumpv4 range above it

The Mackie Thrash15v2 is the straightforward answer for a band or a performer who wants a PA that turns on and works. Add a second cabinet over Bluetooth for stereo, or a Thumpv4 subwoofer underneath for low end — available at Soundium.
